STAFF REPORTS
  1. Sunset Community Centre Design Approval
    Staff report dated November 3, 2004 recommending that the Board approve the design for the new Sunset Community Centre and commissioning Bing Thom Architects to carry out the remaining professional services required to deliver the Sunset Community Centre project.

  2. 2005 Fees and Charges
    This report was referred from the Board meeting of November 1, 2004 to the Finance Committee. Staff report dated November 9, 2004 recommending that the Board approve the 2005 Fees and Charges adjusted as per inflationary increase and comparible market rates and that staff review and report back on options to reduce fees and charges for youth.

  3. Cummings Family Donation
    Staff report dated October 27, 2004 recommending that the Board receive the report for information.

  4. Allocation of CAC from Arbutus Gardens to Quilchena Park and Kerrisdale Community Centre
    Staff report dated November 4, 2004 recommending that the Board request Council to approve the allocation of the Community Amenity Contribution collected from Arbutus Gardens toward the improvements at Quilchena Park and Kerrisdale Community Centre.
MOTIONS

The following motion was put forward by Commissioner Poaps:

Whereas the City of Vancouver has declared itself as a City of Peace, and

Whereas city government plays an important role in the renewal of a world wide peace movement and city peace networks exist in many countries,

Therefore be it resolved that the Vancouver Park Board endorse and participate in the World Peace Forum of 2006 and work on ways, such as providing facility space, to engage our community in the Forum as appropriate.
