STAFF REPORTS

Stanley Park Restoration Plan
The Board endorsed the $9 million Stanley Park Restoration Plan and approved its 14 key recommendations as a framework to restore the damaged areas of the park. The vision for the park states that "Stanley Park be a resilient coastal forest with a diversity of native tree and other species and habitats, that allows park visitors to experience nature in the city". Staff will now develop implementation plans including budgets, along with plans for the Prospect Point road adjustment, park legacy program and an updated forest management plan - all to be reviewed by the Board at a later date. The Plan was prepared following extensive community consultation and with the input and advice from a multi-disciplinary Steering Committee and diverse Partners & Stakeholders Committee. The challenging recovery project is being led by a nine member Staff Team.
