Approval was given for the Park Board to enter into a contract for full consulting services for the design and construction contract administration of the Killarney Ice Rink and Lobby, with Acton Ostry Architects for a fee of $1,028,000. The replacement lobby will join together the new Killarney Leisure Pool (recently opened to the public), community centre and new ice rink. Post Games, the rink will be converted to become a community recreation facility. Design will begin immediately, with construction targetted to start in Spring 2007 for completion in Fall 2008.
