CHAIR'S REPORT
The Chair reported on the annual Diwali celebrations at City Hall and Roundhouse and Sunset Community centres, opening of the winter farmers market at Nat Bailey Stadium, celebration of new First Nations carvings at Oppenheimer Park, One Billionth Tree Planting by Brinkman & Associates in Stanley Park, Fruit Tree Planting ceremony at Falaise Park and Remembrance Day observances at Victory Square and Stanley Park.
GENERAL MANAGER'S REPORT
Park Board related item on City Council agenda this week: Urban Health Initiative.
STAFF REPORTS
Jericho Marginal Wharf
The Board approved the demolition and removal of the Jericho Marginal Wharf for reasons of public safety and ecological restoration. The wharf is at the end of its serviceable life. Staff will work with stakeholders to prepare a revised concept plan for this area, to be brought back to the Board for approval.
2011 Fees and Charges
Fees and charges for were approved for 2011, consistent with market rates and the Board's policy to address inflationary increases. Public feedback indicated preference for increased fees over reduced services.

Park Board meeting dates were set for next year, in accordance with 2011 Council meetings:

• May 2, 16, 30
• June 13 and 27
• July 11 and 25
• August - summer break
• September 19

• November 28
• December 5 and 12
Advisory Committee Liaison Appointment
Commissioner Woodcock was appointed as liaison to the Vancouver Public Library Board.

The next regular Board meeting will be held at 7 pm on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 2099 Beach Avenue.
