CHAIR'S REPORT
The Chair reported on the launch of Black History Month and the Davis Cup tennis draw event.

GENERAL MANAGER'S REPORT
Park Board related item on Council agenda this week includes: Capital Budget 2012.

STAFF REPORTS

New structure and schedule for Board and Committee meetings
The Board approved that the Planning & Environment Committee and the Services & Budgets Committee be consolidated into one committee called the Park Board Committee; 2012 Park Board Committee meetings dates were approved. Committee meetings will be held on the same night as regular Board meetings. Staff will report back on additional measures to expand public engagement, and on alignment of Council and Park Board Procedure By-Laws.

2012 Capital Budget
The Board approved funding requests for the 2012 new capital projects to begin in 2012 in the amount of $8, 970,666 from various sources: capital from debenture, capital from revenue, development cost levies, operating budgets that fund capital projects, reserve and external funding. The Board approved the 2012 Capital (expenditure) Budget in the amount of $18,062,666 for community facilities, and parks and open spaces. The Board received two reports for information - the Council 2012 Capital Budget report and the 2012 to 2014 capital expenditure forecast. The Board approved the allocation of donations received by Park Board from external agencies in the amount of $0.6 million.

The next regular Park Board meeting will be held at 7 pm on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 2099 Beach Avenue.
