Special Park Board Meeting

Community Centre Association Partnership Agreeement - Presentation
The Board approved the framework for a new partnership agreement with Community Centre Associations.  The Board endorsed four principles for the future framework:  access for all citizens, equity among community centres, access to a network of centres, and operational sustainability and accountability.  They directed staff to continue negotiations with willing community centre associations with a focus on how the new funding model would be developed and implemented with a target for the transition effective July 1, 2013..  A city-wide consultation will be initiated in coming months to share the new framework with residents, receive input on priorities, and discuss opportunities for the allocation of a new $1 million annual fund available starting this year to address infrastructure inequities.
