CHAIR'S REPORT
The Chair reported on the official openings of the Fraser River Trail and new BMX/MTB Bike Park at Vanier.

COMMITTEE REPORT
The most recent Services and Budget Committee agenda included: 2011 Budget Update, 2011 Fees and Charges, Winter Farmer's Market at Riley Park and August 2010 Operating Statement Review.

GENERAL MANAGER'S REPORT
Park Board related items on City Council agenda this week: proclamations on Ride-Share Week, Arts Umbrella Month, Homeless Action Week, Chuck Davis Day.

STAFF REPORTS

Adanac Park Community Garden
The Board approved the use of the south east portion of East Vancouver's Adanac Park as a community garden. A five year license to operate the garden was granted to Adanac Park Community Garden Society.

Winters Farmers Market - Riley Park
A special event permit was approved for Your Local Farmers Market Society to operate a Farmers Market in the Riley Park parking lot adjacent to Nat Bailey Stadium. The market will run November 6 to April 30.

Allocation of funds from Corporate Sponsorship
The Board will contribute $50,000 from the Corporate Sponsorship Reserve for design and production of a Vancouver-wide map showing parks, beaches and attractions. The new map will help market the Park Board's services and attractions to residents and tourists.

NEXT MEETING
The next regular Board meeting will be held at 7 pm on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 2099 Beach Avenue.
