Report
- Brenda Coombs and Paul Griffin, CUPE Local 15 requested to speak
to the Board regarding the above.
Item 6 - Busking in Parks
- Cameron McCabe requested to speak to the Board regarding busking
in parks.
COMMUNITY SERVICES AND BUDGETS COMMITTEE
- Busking in Parks
Staff report dated April 27, 1998 recommending that the Board participate
on a trial basis for one year in the busking program developed by
the City and designate a number of sites for buskers who purchase
permits on English Bay and Kits Beach Park and several free areas
in parks where buskers without permits may perform.
- Brock House Society Lease Renewal
Staff report dated May 22, 1998 recommending that the lease between
the Park Board and the Brock House Society be renewed for a further
five-year term commencing February 1, 1998 and that the clause detailed
in the report be added to the lease.
- Award of Contract for Supply of Paper
Towels and Toilet Tissue Paper
Staff report dated May 27, 1998 recommending that the Board approve
the award of contract for the supply of paper towels and toilet tissue
paper as listed in the report.
- Park Board Signing Authority
Staff report dated May 28, 1998 recommending that the signing authority
for the Park Board be designated as listed in the report.
PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE
- Lord Roberts School Playground
Staff report dated May 27, 1998 recommending that the Board approve
Recommendations A to C.
- Boiler Room Upgrade - Kerrisdale
Community Centre
Staff report dated May 28, 1998 recommending that the Board award
quotation Q98-30 for upgrading the boiler room at Kerrisdale Community
Centre to Pascoe Williams Mechanical Ltd.
- New Brighton Park
Staff report dated May 28, 1998 recommending that the Board approve
the appointment of Phillips Farevaag Smallenberg Inc. as Landscape
Architects for the preparation of working drawings, contract documents
and site supervision for phase I of the redevelopment of New Brighton
Park at a cost for fees and disbursements of $124,500 excluding GST.
- Hastings Park
Staff report dated May 28, 1998 recommending that the Board approve
the appointment of Phillips Farevaag Smallenberg Inc. as Landscape
Architects for the preparation of working drawings, contract documents
and site supervision for phase II of the restoration of Hastings Park
at a cost for fees and disbursements of $273,864 excluding GST.
